The winner Zamond (FR) appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Sedgefield on 3rd November 2022 where the gelding finished ninth of eleven runners beaten 39 lengths.
The Stewards noted the explanation given by Donald McCain that Zamond (FR) had benefitted from a combination of change in headgear from blinkers to cheekpieces and a change in tactics, having being held up on this occasion.
