An enquiry was held to consider interference 1 furlong after the start, involving Ney (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Brandon Wilkie, Cold Henry (GB), placed third, ridden by Zak Wheatley, Bouncing Bobby (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Alex Fielding, Gold Ring (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Andrew Breslin and Best Guess (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Tom Kiely-Marshall.
Being 7lbs claimers, Fielding and Kiely-Marshall were both accompanied by jockey coach Russ Kennemore.
Breslin was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as he had edged right-handed towards the rail, when insufficiently clear of Cold Henry (GB), causing Wheatley to take his mount back and shift right-handed, which caused Best Guess (IRE)’s rider to take back, and in turn causing interference to Ney (IRE) whose rider had to check and shift left-handed, bumping Bouncing Bobby (IRE) and causing the gelding to become short of room and shift left-handed.
Following the race, Brandon Wilkie reported that Ney (IRE), placed fourth, hung right-handed throughout.
