Permission was given for Kirstenbosch (GB) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring and Frankellina (GB) wore earplugs which were removed at the Start.
The winner, Fanny Logan appeared to show improved form, compared with her previous run at Ascot on 20 June 2019 where the filly finished ninth of eleven, beaten 17½ lengths.
John Gosden’s representative’s explanation that the filly benefited from a drop in trip from 1m 4f to 1m 2f, a drop in class and the first time application of a hood as the filly ran quite freely last time, was noted.
