Permission was given for Lautrec (GB) and Spun To Gold (USA) to wear a red hood to post.
Prior to this race, George Boughey was asked to explain the reason why he was running Rocking Tree (IRE) here at Newmarket, on going described as Good, having declared the gelding a non-runner at Newmarket on 3 May 2024 on ground with the same official description.
Boughey explained that he was happy for Rocking Tree (IRE) to run, as having walked the track this morning, he felt the conditions were more suitable for the gelding on this occasion than previously.
Following the race, Joe Leavy reported that Fihrayn (IRE), placed sixth, hung left-handed throughout.
