Bling On The Music (GB) wore earplugs which were removed at the start.
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the run to the line involving the winner Island Bandit (IRE), ridden by Gina Mangan and Man Of Eden (GB), placed fourth, ridden by James Doyle.
Mangan was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as shortly before the line she allowed her mount to drift left- handed without sufficient correction, causing Doyle to be short of room and to take a check.
The Stewards were satisfied that the interference had not improved the placing of Island Bandit (IRE).
The winner Island Bandit (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at York on 27 May 2023 where the gelding finished last of 19 runners beaten 17 ¼ lengths.
The explanation given by the representative of Heather Main that Island Bandit (IRE) had benefited from its comeback run at York after a break of 208 days, was noted.
Following the race, Jim Crowley reported that Dream Of Mischief (GB), placed second, was denied a clear run 1 ½ furlongs out.
