Permission was given for Revolutionise (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and for OSTILO to go early to post and wear a red hood to the start.
Approaching the final furlong when Callum Shepherd the rider of Aramis Grey (IRE), placed fourth, was taking a legitimate gap between Ostilio (GB), unplaced, and the winner Red Mirage (IRE), his mount had bumped a weakening Ostilio (GB) on the hindquarters causing it to shift right-handed towards the path of Revolutionise (IRE), placed third.
A short distance later Red Mirage (IRE) edged slightly right- handed carrying Aramis Grey (IRE) towards Ostilio (GB) at the same time as Revolutionise (IRE) hung left-handed from the outside, which resulted in Ostilio (GB) having to be checked to avoid the heels of Revolutionise (IRE).
Following the race, Callum Shepherd reported that Aramis Grey (IRE) was denied a clear run approaching the final furlong.
