FormscanBy John O'Riordan - Having lost out by the narrowest of margins at Punchestown last month, the Henry De Bromhead trained GREAT BEAR can gain compensation. A consistent sort since switching his attention to chasing, the eight-year-old ran his best race to date when going down by just a short head at the Kildare track. Raised 3lb subsequently, the son of Dansili should have more to offer. Bythesametoken may have needed his reappearance at Aintree in April but shaped much better when third at Ballinrobe last time. The Ross O'Sullivan trained Fame And Glory gelding is a former course winner who is suited to a flat track such as this. Time Marches On won over course and distance on his penultimate start. Pulled up last time, he needs to recapture that earlier form if he is to be a contender.
