Permission was given for Spring Chorus (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Simon Whitaker was cautioned as Tiberio Force (GB) had arrived in the Parade Ring wearing blinkers instead of its declared cheekpieces.
The blinkers were removed, and cheekpieces were located and fitted to the gelding before going to the start.
An enquiry was held to consider interference entering the back straight involving the winner, Spring Chorus (GB), ridden by Shane Gray, Schumann (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Joanna Mason and Tiberio Force (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Mark Winn.
The riders were interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, but it was not possible to apportion blame for the interference caused to Tiberio Force (GB) due to insufficient camera footage of the incident.
The winner, Spring Chorus (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Southwell on 29 April 2024, where the filly finished eleventh of 13 runners, beaten 20 ½ lengths.
Jessica Macey’s explanation that Spring Chorus (GB) had benefitted from being ridden prominently on this occasion, was noted.
Spring Chorus (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Gina Mangan reported that Cloudy Rose (GB), placed second, was restless in the stalls and jumped awkwardly as a result.
