He's a genuine straight forward horse. He loved the surface and it was a good trip for him. He was doing enough to stay in front. It's a bit different for them here first time under the lights and some look around more than others. He'll give Paul plenty of fun. C. Comerford, rider of Fast In The Wind, trained by P.D. Deegan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount's saddle slipped. The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, W. Fleming, that P.B. Beggy, rider of Poetic Choice (GB), placed fifth, failed to weigh in after this race. Evidence was heard from W. Fleming and the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion P.B. Beggy was in breach of Rule 227 (i) in that he failed to present himself to weigh in and they cautioned him in this regard. Furthermore, using their powers under Rule 230 (ii), they disqualified Poetic Choice from fifth place.

An extended handicap for three yrs old and upwards (75 = 9st 10lb)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap shall not be less than 9st 10lb
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 5lb extra; for each race won. Any horse rated above 75 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 9st 10lb. Subsequently, the excess over 75 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse. (For the purpose of this note, any three year old rated above 75 shall have the applicable weight for age allowance then prevailing deducted from the horse's rating prior to the original calculation of the handicap)
