The Stewards interviewed Mr P.A. King, rider of O'Moore Park, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip with excessive frequency and failed to give his mount sufficient time to respond to the whip. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg. 10.3.(g)(frequency) and (i)(time to respond) and having taken his record into account suspended him for 3 race days

Riders - Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules All horses running in this race must hold a current Hunters Certificate. A Hunter Certificate valid in accordance with Rule 78 for the 2021/2022 season for each horse engaged must be registered at the Offices of the I.N.H.S. Committee, The Curragh, Co. Kildare not later than 3rd November or the horse will not be qualified to start. The Stewards of the I.N.H.S. Committee have suspended the relevant part of Rule 78 to enable horses which run in this race (excluding the winner) to retain their Hunters Certificate for the remainder of the 2021/2022 season. HRI Directive 10 has been suspended for the purpose of this race and the following procedures for elimination and balloting of horses will apply. (i) The number of declared runners shall be reduced by first balloting those horses that have not won a Point-To-Point steeplechase since 5th October, 2019. (ii) The number of horses declared will be then reduced by balloting those horses that have not won more than one Point-To-Point steeplechase since 5th October, 2019.
