Glenglass gamely made all in the colts and geldings point-to-point bumper at Fairyhouse to give Gordon Elliott a treble and Jamie Codd a double.
The even-money chance faced a stern challenge from 10/11 favourite O'moore Park in the final quarter of a mile but always held the lead and fended his rival off by a neck.
“He's a grand horse, he's a big horse to go jumping,” said Elliott.
“I'd say the jockey won it at the start but Jamie said what he got at the start he gave away at the bend.
“I'm very happy with him and he'll be alright. He'll go hurdling now.”
Elliott also scored with Maggie Motown and Happy D'ex who was ridden by Codd.
The Stewards interviewed Mr P.A. King, rider of O'Moore Park, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip with excessive frequency and failed to give his mount sufficient time to respond to the whip. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg. 10.3.(g)(frequency) and (i)(time to respond) and having taken his record into account suspended him for three race days.
