Permission was given for Lordsbridge Boy (GB) to go early to post and to wear a red hood to the start.
The Stewards noted that Moonlighting (GB), placed fifth, had ducked in the stalls as the start was effected.
Upon leaving the stalls, Redredrobin (GB), placed seventh, jumped left-handed resulting in Glamorous Crescent (GB), placed eighth and G'daay (GB), placed fourth, bumping and the latter having to then be checked off the heels of Moonlighting (GB), placed fifth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Redredrobin (GB).
The performance of Glamorous Crescent (GB) which finished eighth, was considered.
Christopher Mason could offer no explanation for the mare’s performance.
