Permission was given for Moonlight Glory (IRE) to be mounted on the course and to go early to post and for Moore Clouds (IRE) to go early to post wearing a red hood.
The winner, Templier (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Southwell on 6 March 2023, where the gelding finished tenth of twelve runners, beaten 41 3/4 lengths, on ground described as Good on the day.
The representative of Sarah Humphrey explained that the gelding benefited from a return to an easier surface on ground described as Soft on this occasion.
His explanation was noted and Templier (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Danny McMenamin reported that Moore Clouds (IRE), unplaced, weekend quickly after the second last hurdle.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the mare failed to reveal any abnormalities.
