Permission was given for Diaboleo (FR) to wear a red hood which was removed at the start.
The raceday privilege request in relation to Diaboleo (FR), trained by Danny Brooke, was late being submitted.
Brooke was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that all raceday privilege requests are submitted by 1pm on the day before racing.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 2 furlongs out involving the winner, Phoenix Aquilus (IRE), ridden by Shane Kelly, Neverbeen To Paris (IRE), unplaced, ridden by David Probert, and Prince Abu (IRE), placed second, ridden by Cam Hardie.
Kelly was suspended for 2 days for careless riding for manoeuvring his mount right-handed when insufficiently clear, making contact with and carrying Prince Abu (IRE) off its intended line, causing the gelding to make contact with Neverbeen To Paris (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference from approaching the final furlong involving Beat The Breeze (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Kieran O’Neill, and Nataleena (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Andrew Mullen.
O’Neill was suspended for 2 days for careless riding for allowing his mount to drift left-handed under a right-hand drive without sufficient correction and when his mount had shown a tendency to hang left-handed, causing Nataleena (IRE) to be taken off its intended line.
Following the race, Kieran O'Neill reported that Beat The Breeze (GB), placed fourth, hung left-handed, Trevor Whelan reported that Dreaming Blue (GB), unplaced, hung right-handed, and Cam Hardie reported that Prince Abu (IRE), placed second, was denied a clear run.
