The performance of Phillapa Sue (IRE) which started favourite and finished seventh of eight runners beaten 22 ¼ lengths, was considered.
The Stewards noted that the representative of Fergal O’Brien could offer no explanation for the mare’s performance.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination during routine testing of Phillapa Sue (IRE) failed to any abnormalities.
The apparent improvement in form of the winner MAIMIE’S MAGIC (IRE), which had never previously been placed, was considered.
The Stewards noted the explanation given by the representative of Stewart Crawford that the mare was suited by the heavy Going on this occasion.
Following the race, Iain Jardine reported that Reve De Niamh (GB), unplaced, made respiratory noise.
