He has a massive engine and while he is very genuine is quite lazy. Derek O'Connor rode him at Galway the last day and said he was on and off it (the bridle) and the blinkers helped him travel today. He stays very well, is ground-versatile and could run in the Irish Cesarewitch now.

The Stewards requested a report from John Joseph Murphy, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Brazos (USA), placed first, as compared with its most recent form. George Murphy, authorised representative of the trainer, reported that his charge was drawn wide at Galway in what he felt was a competitive race and never got into contention as a result . He felt the combination of a better draw and the application of blinkers on this occasion had helped bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
