The last time I was here I rode a winner for Mr McManus!. I'm absolutely delighted with this fella and I've been feeling my way with him. I've been training him with the view he will come into his own in the spring/summer time and I was hoping he might pick up one as a bonus coming into the summer. I'm thrilled for the owner Peter Trainor who is with me a year now and we've become close friends. That's his first ever winner and I'm absolutely thrilled and privileged to have given him his first winner. We'll enjoy this together. He was a very smart for Mrs Harrington on the flat and beat none other than the Melbourne Cup winner Twilight Payment at Gowran Park once.

He was a good Flat horse but we’ve had a lot of trouble with back problems and his jumping hasn’t been great.

A little juice in the ground is what he needs and he got it today which was great. Hopefully we'll head to the Vintage Crop now,. He stays well, he'll go two miles and will probably go further than two miles. Last summer we didn't get the ground for him and that's why he was so lightly raced. There are plenty of options for him and he'll be entered in all those long distance races. He'll to travel to England if necessary and he's a nice horse to have.

He got a lovely education at Galway and is a beautiful relaxed horse and would be asleep in the stalls,. Even though he (O'Donoghue) was niggling him turning in, it was only a matter of when he gave him a squeeze and he took off. He goes to the Killavullan Stakes at Leopardstown next.
