He was going home tomorrow for the winter as he is normally out of the winter and he's not even clipped. We'll see now and we might get another spin out of him and maybe he might be back here again. He has six races won and hopefully he'll go again if we get him mentally right more than anything. Not too many horses win six.

Mr N.T. Prendergast, rider of Charle Brune (FR) trained by T.Shanahan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that the hood on his mount became dislodged in running
The Stewards interviewed T. Shanahan, trainer of Charle Brune (FR), after it appeared the hood worn by his charge became dislodged in running. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned, who stated that he had fitted the hood correctly and could offer no explanation for what occurred, other than the velcro fastener appeared to open for no apparent reason. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards advised Mr. Shanahan to make sure the equipment carried by his charge is fitted correctly in future
