Dotties Star (GB) unseated Christian Howarth on the way to the start and was quickly caught after.

Having both been checked at the start by the Doctor and Veterinary Surgeon, they were deemed fit to race.

An enquiry was held to consider interference suffered by River Alwen (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Gina Mangan, approximately six and a half furlongs out, which involved Morcar (GB), unplaced, ridden by Alec Voikhansky, and Ribal (GB), placed second, ridden by Jack Doughty.

Voikhansky was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had angled his mount right-handed when improving his position and when insufficiently clear of River Alwen (IRE) carrying the gelding off its intended line.

Doughty was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed Ribal (GB) to shift marginally left-handed without correction, resulting in River Alwen (IRE), which was already being carried off its line by Morcar (GB), to be tightened for room.

The Stewards wished to hold an enquiry into interference rounding the bend into the home straight involving Chips And Rice (GB), unplaced, ridden by Kaiya Fraser; Big Bear Hug (GB), placed third, ridden by Alice Bond and Ribal (GB), placed second, ridden by Jack Doughty, but were unable to do so due to technical difficulties within the Racetech integrity unit, which later resulted in the race meeting being abandoned.

The adjourned enquiry was held on 12 August 2024 to consider interference turning into the home straight involving Ribal (GB), placed second, ridden by Jack Doughty, Chips And Rice (GB), unplaced, ridden Kaiya Fraser, and Big Bear Hug (GB), placed third, ridden by Alice Bond.

Doughty was suspended for 5 days for careless riding as allowed his mount to shift left-handed towards the rail when insufficiently clear of Chips And Rice (GB), causing Fraser to have to take a considerable check and his mount to become unbalanced for a number of strides, which in turn caused Bond to have to take a check.

Following the race, Alice Bond reported that Big Bear Hug (GB), placed third, was denied a clear run inside the final furlong.

Jack Doughty reported that Ribal (GB), placed second, hung left-handed in the home straight.

Sean Dylan Bowen reported that Silver Nightfall (GB), placed fifth, hung left-handed and was denied a clear run in the final ½ furlong.

Gina Mangan reported that River Alwen (IRE), placed fourth, suffered interference approximately 6 ½ furlongs out.
