Paul Deegan's promising start to the season continued as the well backed High Court Drama made it two on the bounce in this one-mile handicap with Willie Supple doing the steering.

Third early on behind the leading pair of Lime Tree Valley and Bunsen Burner, High Court Drama came to lead a furlong and a half out and go on to hold Bravely Fought into second.

Deegan later commented, "He is a nice horse and it was a trainer error running him at Roscommon on ground he didn't like and he likes it around here so we will try and find something similar here and possibly step him up a furlong or two.

Bravely Fought had every chance in truth but has failed to follow up his maiden success over the course and distance in his two starts since.

Bunsen Burner stayed on well having disputed the lead for a long way and it signalled a better effort than that of his season debut at the Curragh at the end of last month. A similar contest at the same venue may not be beyond this lad.

Ready To Rocknroll was the best placed of three of these runners who ran behind Badger Or Bust at the Curragh but finished third of the trio on this occasion for Jim Gorman. Having only been raised two pounds for that run this was a slightly disappointing effort but the heavy ground may have been to his advantage on that day.

Mary Josephine was ultra consistent last season and finally broke her maiden tag here at the end of last month but on stepping up to a mile Harry Rogers charge was unable to land a blow and she may have to revert back to seven furlongs next time around.

The Ger Lyons trained Leandros was sent off the 4/1 joint favourite and having been slow away the son of Invincible Spirit was always at the rear of the group and was never really a factor on this occasion.
