Stormbomber (CAN) ran without its left fore shoe, which it lost on the way to post.
The Clerk of the Scales reported that Aaron Jones, the rider of Storm Girl (GB), unplaced, had weighed in at 8 st 4 lbs having weighed out at 8 st 2 lbs.
The rider, the trainer and the Clerk of the Scales were interviewed.
Jones was suspended for 1 day for weighing in at 2lb overweight.
Aaron Jones was further fined #650 for changing his breeches and boots after weighing out.
Following the race Liam Keniry reported that he felt Stormbomber (CAN), unplaced, ran poorly as it had lost its left fore shoe on the way to the start.
Luke Dace's representative reported that Cromwell (GB), unplaced, was unsuited by the soft ground and would prefer a faster surface.
