The Veterinary Officer reported that Boma Green (GB), trained by Charlie Fellowes, appeared to show evidence of possible administration of a substance, with dried blood present in the region of the left jugular vein.

The Trainers’ representative and the Veterinary Officer were interviewed.

Fellowes’ representative explained that the gelding had been administered Duphalyte intravenously the previous day on 05 September 2020, during evening stables.

The Stewards were supplied with a copy of the yards medical treatment records book verifying this to be factual.

The explanation of Fellowes' representative was noted and being satisfied that Boma Green (GB) had received only normal food and water by mouth on the day of racing, the Stewards allowed the horse to run, and ordered Boma Green (GB) to be routine tested post-race.

A report was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.

The Starter reported that Mr Kiki (IRE) was unruly in the stalls and withdrawn at 3:42pm.

The representative of Ralph Beckett was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.

As it was the second occasion within the previous 12 months that Mr Kiki (IRE) had been reported, a further report within the same period would mean the gelding would be prevented from having a stalls test for 6 months.

Following the race, Dougie Costello reported that Magical Max (GB), unplaced, hung left-handed and was never travelling.

Hollie Doyle reported that Boma Green (GB), placed fourth, was never travelling.

William Buick reported that Triple Spear (GB), unplaced, weakened quickly from inside the final 2 furlongs.
