Permission was given for Luckello (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Having reviewed recordings of the false start, the Starters were satisfied that no riders should be reported for contravening the starting procedures.
Jumping the second fence, Bretney (IRE), which was pulled up, made a bad jumping error and bumped the winner, Family Pot (FR), causing the Sean Houlihan to momentarily lose his iron but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Jumping the fourth last fence, Dock Road (IRE), placed third, stumbled when hampered by the unseat of Unblinking (GB) but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approaching the second last fence, REIGN SUPREME (IRE), which was brought down, and Tanrudy (IRE), placed fourth, were hampered by the loose running Unblinking (GB) but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The performance of Bretney (IRE), which started favourite and pulled up, was considered.
Tom O’Brien reported that the gelding made a significant jumping error at the second fence and thereafter was never travelling was noted.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding, during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Cobra Commander (IRE), which was pulled up, bled from the nose.
