The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Savannah Storm (GB), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal

The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Prince Anchises, ridden by E. O'Connell, and trained by A.J.Martin. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. E. O'Connell, stated that his instructions were to jump off behind as his mount can be very free and also a nervous type, he felt there was a very slow pace early on and when the race quickened, his mount was unable to go with them but stayed on one pace in the straight . A.J.Martin, confirmed the instructions, he also added that his horse has had a number of problems and been difficult to keep sound, he feels that he stays well but today was his first race and on very testing ground, he feels he would also be expected to improve. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that the animal was post race normal. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations.
