Permission was given for Land Of Magic (GB) to go early to post and be mounted on the chute.
The winner, Mad Punter (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Windsor on 9 October 2023 where the colt finished sixth of seven, beaten by 6 ½ lengths.
Brian Meehan’s representative’s explanation that the colt benefitted from the first-time application of cheekpieces was noted.
Mad Punter (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, David Probert reported that Queues Likely (GB), placed third, hung left-handed under pressure and Gina Mangan reported that Land Of Magic (GB), placed second, hung right-handed under pressure.
