Permission was given for Lucky Beggar (IRE) to go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider two incidents of interference inside the final ½ furlong involving the winner, Mehmo (IRE), ridden by Frederick Larson, Eeh Bah Gum (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Callum Hutchinson, and Buniann (IRE), placed second, ridden by Oisin McSweeney.
In the first incident, Larson was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift right-handed without sufficient correction causing Eeh Bah Gum (IRE) to have to be checked off heels.
The second incident, which occurred momentarily after, was found to be accidental in that Mehmo (IRE) continued to shift right- handed despite Larson’s best efforts to correct the gelding carrying Buniann (IRE) off its intended line.
Being 7Ib Claiming Apprentice’s both Larson and McSweeney were offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
