Stephen Mulqueen, the rider of Jaminoz (IRE), placed eighth, had appeared to ease his mount shortly before the winning post.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Mulqueen was cautioned for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing by easing his mount prematurely on a horse which could have finished sixth.
Following the race, Charlie Hammond reported that Mirabad (FR), placed fourth, ran too free.
Stephen Mulqueen reported that Jaminoz (IRE), unplaced, hung and jumped left-handed throughout and the Veterinary Officer reported that the gelding was suffering from post-race heat stress.
