Permission was given for Malangen (IRE) to go early to post.
Red Secret (CAN), trained by Ed Dunlop, entered the Parade Ring wearing blinkers instead of the declared visor.
As no visor could be found, the gelding had to be withdrawn.
After interviewing Dunlop’s representative, Dunlop was fined £140.
The performance of Hit The Rocks (IRE), which finished unplaced, was considered.
Gary Moore could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Hit The Rocks (IRE) failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Rossa Ryan reported that Malangen (IRE), unplaced, was never travelling and Nicola Currie reported that Hammy End (IRE), placed second, jumped right leaving the stalls.
