Permission was given for Mon Port (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post wearing a red hood.
Passing the winning post going out onto the final circuit, Shanroe Tic Tec (IRE), placed fourth, became momentarily short of room as the runners to its inside shifted slightly left-handed to negotiate the island railing, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Leaving the back straight on the final circuit, Remember The Man (IRE), placed fifth, and French De Guye (FR), placed seventh, appeared to go for the same gap resulting in both horses becoming momentarily short of room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of either horse.
Kevin Brogan, the rider of Frau Georgia (IRE), was unseated rounding the final bend turning into the home straight.
Ben Poste, the rider of French De Guye (IRE), placed seventh, was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, but Brogan was unable to be interviewed owing to his injuries.
It was found that the incident was accidental and was caused by Frau Georgia (IRE), appearing to clip the heels of a weakening French De Guye (IRE).
Fergus Gregory, the rider of Mon Port (IRE), which was later pulled up, was also interviewed but as he was sat in behind both runners, he had no opinion to offer on the incident as he did not have sufficient views.
