J.M. Sheridan, rider of Able Jack (GB) trained by Gerard O'Leary, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right in the last 50 yards when he hit the front

The Stewards interviewed J.M. Sheridan, rider of Able Jack (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he had used his whip excessively, and that he had used his whip to keep his mount straight. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that J.M. Sheridan was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (g) (excessive frequency). Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended J.M. Sheridan for 2 race days

For four years old and upwards to be claimed for #5,000 and that, at entry, have run at least three times under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing and are RATED 65 OR LESS
Weights - 10st 3lbs
Riders - Apprentice Riders who claim the 10lb or 7lb allowance under Rule 69 will not be allowed to ride in this race. Horses that have run three times and do not have a published handicap rating are eligible to enter and run at the discretion of the handicapper provided their performances are rated 65 or less at time of entry. However, horses with a published rating must have a published rating of 65 or less at time of entry in order to be eligible to enter and run.
