The Stewards enquired into possible interference on the approach to the second last hurdle involving Commentariolus, ridden by K.M. Donoghue, placed third, Pete So High (GER), ridden by J.W. Kennedy, placed first and Randalls Ur Poet, ridden by M.J. Bolger, placed second, where it appeared that Pete So High (GER) veered right and caused interference. Further interference also took place between Pete So High (GER) and Randalls Ur Poet in mid air while jumping the second last hurdle. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned
