The Veterinary Officer reported that a pre-race examination of the gelding deemed him fit to race.
Permission was given for Candyman Can (IRE) to go early to post.
The winner, Candyman Can (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newton Abbot on 22 June 2021 where the gelding finished fifth of eight, beaten by 27 ¼ lengths.
The representative of Laura Hurley explained that Candyman Can (IRE) had appreciated racing over fences in the Soft, Heavy in places ground.
His explanation was noted and the gelding was routine tested.

Sean Bowen reported that Kapsize (IRE), which was pulled up, possibly ran flat having run the previous day.
