Leaving the stalls, Dashing Dick (IRE), placed second, jumped right-handed moving The Thames Boatman (GB), unplaced, right-handed, causing Mart (GB), unplaced, and Roman Emperor (GB), unplaced, to become short of room.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Dashing Dick (IRE).
Following the race, Callum Shepherd reported that Mart (GB), unplaced, was hampered leaving the stalls and Finley Marsh reported that The Thames Boatman (GB), unplaced, ran too free.
