The Stewards fined P.A.Fahy, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Battle Bound, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order. The Stewards received a report from P.L. Malone , Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Mr R. James , rider of Harbour Pirate (GER) , weighed in at 1.9 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he was tight to do the weight and had a drink of water and some fruit after weighing out. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr R. James was in breach of Rule 231 and they therefore suspended him for 1 raceday.

A steeplechase for Certified Hunters five yrs old and upwards that have not won more than one Steeplechase confined to Certified Hunters and that have been placed first, second, third or fourth in a Certified Hunters Steeplechase or in a Point-to-Point Steeplechase in Ireland between 25th September, 2010 and 1st June, 2014
Weights - 5-y-o 11st 1lb; 6-y-o and up 11st 7lb; Mares allowed 7lb
Penalties - (to count from 1st January, 2012) Winner of a steeplechase 7lb extra
Riders - Qualified under I.N.H.S. Rules.
