Bishopscourt Cup winner Rohan's Pride impressed when following up in the Catch Me If You Can Hunters Chase at Downpatrick.
Again with Davy O'Leary in the plate, the chestnut son of Pushkin was never far away and he was keen early.
However when tackled by even money favourite Sizing Solution over the final two, the response of Rohan's Pride was very good and he went away in the closing stages to score by six lengths.
Trainer of Rohan's Pride, Robert Honner said: "I'm delighted for my father (Winston, winning owner).
"Also I stand the sire of Rohan's Pride - Pushkin - for 1,000 euro. That's my second win as a trainer. I took my license out in March.
"We'll consider all options now with this horse though I'm minded of the saying 'keep yourself in the best of company and your horses in the worst company!'
"He's a good horse and I'm excited by him. I've six in training in Enfield Co Meath."
The Stewards fined P.A.Fahy, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Battle Bound in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.
The Stewards received a report from P.L. Malone , Turf Club Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Mr R. James , rider of Harbour Pirate (GER) , weighed in at 1.9 lbs overweight.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that he was tight to do the weight and had a drink of water and some fruit after weighing out. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr R. James was in breach of Rule 231 and they therefore suspended him for 1 raceday.
