He stayed on well in Galway and again the last day in Sligo and had two goes at handicapping so I'd say it made the difference. He was 4lb out of the handicap but we had to take our chances as he is probably crying out for that distance. Wesley gave him a great ride - the instructions were to sit in second or third and to get cover for him as we were riding him to come home. He'd have preferred better ground but this is Ireland, you have to make the best of the ground you have. Michael Mulvany, trainer

A.J. Slattery, rider of Zaraahmando, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran freely

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident down the back straight involving Shocker, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed fifth, and Zaraahmando, ridden by A.J. Slattery, placed fourth, where it appeared Zaraahmando was running freely and had to switch off heels causing Shocker to receive a bump. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

An extended handicap for two years old only that are EBF eligible (80 = 9st 12lbs)
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
