his form is nothing but disappointing so far and he was unlucky in point-to-points as nothing happened for him. I said to Mags that his run in Punchestown wasn't that bad as Wizard Of Oz was third in that race and finished a solid second in a Grade 2 race at Aintree afterwards. I thought that wasn't a bad run, he had a bit of grass, strengthened up and when I saw he was 50/1 this morning I thought he had a better chance than that. Three miles probably suited but he jumps quick enough that dropping to 2m4f could also be an option.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Declan Queally, trainer, as to the application of a self adhesive tongue strap to his charge Alvarez Eclipse prior to entering the parade ring which is not permitted under Regulation 16. Evidence was heard from the trainer who stated that he was unaware of the new Regulation in relation to permitted tongue straps. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Declan Queally was in breach of Regulation 16 by fitting a tongue strap made from a material that is not permitted. Having taken his record into consideration, the Raceday Stewards fined Declan Queally €100 on this occasion.

G.B. Noonan, rider of Wilmeaulpalwinbos, trained by James Andrew Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount couldn't lie up with the pace in this race
K. Callaghan, rider of Jimmyies Dream, trained by Ray Hackett, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
