Permission was given for Palavecino (FR) to go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference from approximately one and a half furlongs out, when the winner Palavecino (FR), ridden by Martin Dwyer, interfered with House Edge (GB), placed second, ridden by Hayley Turner.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Palavecino (FR)’s placing as House Edge (GB) lost little momentum as a result of the interference with the winner going away in the closing stages to win by 2 lengths.
The interference was found to be accidental as Palavecino (FR) hung badly left-handed despite Dwyer’s best efforts to correct the gelding, carrying House Edge (GB) off its intended line for a significant period.
Following the race, Kieran Shoemark reported that Dragons Voice (GB), which finished last of the ten runners, reared leaving the stalls and Megan Nicholls reported that Light In The Sky (FR), unplaced, ran too free.
