I couldn't pick between the two of them beforehand. Sam (Ewing) had said that the horse that led would go a fair lick so I wasn't sure how that would suit Meishar but the quicker they went the more it was going to help Sister Lola. Funnily enough Shane said from two-and-a-half out he had no doubt he'd get there as he was only nursing her into it. I thought she was going nowhere for a while but she picks up plenty. She's been unbelievable. It looks reckless running her every week but we weigh her every week. I know that doesn't tell you everything, and when she's heavier this week than she was last week she's obviously not having too hard a time of it.

It was brilliant. There was no rocket science in claiming her, I think there were ten claims in for her last week. It didn't take a genius to figure she was cheap, I didn't think she'd repay us that quickly but it's great. She doesn't take a whole pile of work at home as she can be a fraction hot. The only credit we can take is that we claimed her, Eddie had her ready.

I weighted her to win and she's won. I think the second and third are rated in the 50's and she's rated 67. She's won three for us and would probably be a good claim for somebody. She got the gap, quickened up and did it well.

It was a bit disappointing last week. As you can see with the sweat of her there she can be very hard on herself,. We got a call that we were getting in today, I didn't think we would. I rolled the dice and got lucky. I took the 5lb off her to give her every chance and it worked out. It's been a nice day for us, two winners, one for Sarah and one for me. We always thought she wanted a mile but I think we've been wrong as her two seconds and her win have been over seven. I was worried when I saw the sweat of her down behind the stalls but it worked out. We bred her as well and the sire has been good to me.
