Eddie Lynam recorded the second treble of his career as Resourceful Man took the Join Us On Instagram @Dundalk_Stadium Handicap in the colours of long-time patron Trevor Dalzell.
Lynam, successful with Sister Lola and Phantom Power and also just denied with Linus Larrabee was completing a 34/1 plus treble in the first five races on the card.
The well-backed 3/1 chance (7/1 earlier in the day) made headway over a furlong out and got up in the closing stages under Declan McDonogh to beat Amazing Emma by three quarters of a length. Betrayed was prominent throughout finishing just a head away in third.
Lynam said, “We’re doing well and Johnny (Feane) cost me four but we’ll take three.
“He seems to like it here and will probably come back here. His turf runs have been disappointing.
“I’m glad to win with him again. He’s a homebred of Trevor’s and he owns him. I trained the mare (Byzantium) and he bought her for breeding.
“Trevor was in the Eureka Thoroughbreds Syndicate with me when Brendan Sheridan rode a maiden hurdle winner and John Queally a bumper win so that shows you how long ago it was. He’s a gentleman to train for.”
The Dunshaughlin trainer, best known for his Group 1-winning sprinters Sole Power and Slade Power, has held a licence for nearly four decades and previously saddled a treble at Naas five years ago.
