Review dundalk 4th Sep
East Meets West bounced back from a disappointing show at Group Three level in the Acomb Stakes at York to land the Louth/Meath/Westmeath ITBA Race at DundalkSun 04th Sep
O'Brien's only runner today takes the second
The smallest field of the day of six went to post for the second race on the card, the Louth/Meath/Westmeath I.T.B.A Race over seven furlongs with Aidan O'Brien's only runner of the day East Meets West prevailing by a head under Colm O'Donoghue. Sun 04th SepFrench Emperor rules the roost
Colm O’Donoghue made all on Eddie Lynam’s French Emperor to record a comfortable success in the six furlong Auction Race for two-year-old’s at Naas. Mon 01st AugPitlochry swoops late for unlikely win
In-running punters were, to use the popular forum word, ‘gubbed’ in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Auction Maiden at Naas this evening, with 11/8 favourite Catamount matching for €22,000 at 1.01 on Betfair, before throwing away what looked certain victory to Pitlochry, who swooped late for a head win. Wed 22nd Jun
After race at Naas Wed, 22nd Jun, 2011 (1st)
Pitlochry is a nice colt and while I thought the two horses would run well, I expected both to improve for the run. Pitlochry will step up to a winners' race now but there aren't many races about for these types of horses unless you go for a black-type contest.
