The handicapper has been quite good to him and has dropped him along the way,. The kid's 10lb is a big bonus. For those low-grade horses to try and give him two stone is nearly impossible. . I have to thank my farrier, he has glue on shoes and up to this we were struggling to keep him sound. Since this year it's been a dream. . The young lad Julian asked to come down and ride him out before he got his licence and rode him work a few times. He knows him and he actually switches off with him. Before he used to be really keen but now you're able to ride him and put him somewhere. Today he was brilliant on him. . There is a race next week for him again, in Navan.

He was very brave today, tried very hard,. I told Leigh to bounce out and make every post a winning one. He skipped along and you could see him putting his old ears back in the last 100 yards. He tried his heart out. He had 8-6 there and Leigh is a good, strong rider. Leigh and Gary Halpin suit him as they are strong riders but unfortunately Gary couldn't do the weight today and Leigh was a good deputy. He'll go for the Joe McGrath (at the Curragh on September 26th). The handicapper will have his way with him again but I better not say too much as I gave out about him a couple of times!

He won well. The ground suited and I think having the loose horse there suited him as well,. The handicapper will probably have his say with him now but it's nice to get another win with him.

He was down 20lb from 72. When we got him first we ran him in a handicap at Tipperary and the handicapper gave him 4lb for finishing fifth, we shouldn't have run him in it,. He ran well from there on, was consistent, but his form tailed off last year and he was back to a winnable mark. We fancied him today and we're delighted. It all worked out, Gary (Halpin) gave him a good ride, and the lads will be delighted to have a winner. The other lad (Fool Proof, 3rd) ran well too.
