Shines Her Light is likely to be popular with punters in the opening Foran Equine Irish EBF Auction Maiden at Tipperary today.
Trainer Jessica Harrington is enjoying a prolific season with her juveniles and this daughter of No Nay Never has shown enough in finishing fourth at Dundalk and third at Navan to suggest she is up to winning a race of this nature.
The obvious threat is Joseph O’Brien’s Lady Penelope who looked a surefire future winner when third behind Harrington’s Punita Arora on her debut at Navan last month, while Katy Brown’s On Tick should not be dismissed after a recent runner-up finish at Wolverhampton.
Harrington also has strong claims in the Racing Again 29th August Nursery with Invincible Diva
The Down Royal maiden winner could finish only sixth in the Listed Tipperary Stakes here last month, but should find life significantly easier in handicap company. An opening mark of 78 may underestimate her potential.
Denis Hogan ’s top-weight Hathiq is one of four course -and-distance winners set to contest the Follow Tipperary On Facebook Handicap along with Andrew Slattery’s Cityman the Kieran Cotter-trained Dash D’or and Mistress Of Venice from Ken Condon’s yard.
John Feane ’s recent Hamilton winner Art Of Unity adds further depth to a competitive affair.
Willie Martin ’s Coffeemeanscoffee bids to follow up her win at Naas on Monday in the Larry Lyons Birthday Celebration Handicap.
Harrington’s For Your Eyes can be given some sort of chance in the www.tipperaryraces.ie Fillies Maiden, but the standard is set by Dermot Weld’s beautifully-bred filly Kiss For A Jewel
A daughter of Kingman out of high-class racemare Sapphire, the Moyglare Stud-owned three-year-old has shaped with promise on each of her four starts to date and this race represents an excellent opportunity for her to break her duck.
