The Stewards enquired into an incident about one and a half furlongs from the finish involving Sam Langford, ridden by G.P. Halpin, placed second and Kalanoura, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed sixth, where it appeared that Kalanoura moved over towards Sam Langford causing him to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Egrecio (GB), trained by D. K. Weld, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
