Alala (IRE) ran yesterday, 8 March 2022, at Wolverhampton and finished fifth.
Having been examined by the Veterinary Officer, the filly was deemed fit to race.
Permission was given for Tenth Century (GB) to be mounted in the chute and to go early to post, for Tenth Century (GB) to wear a red hood to the start.
Tenth Century (GB), trained by Michael Blake did not enter the Parade Ring.
Blake stated that his jockey had been late weighing out for the race due to the previous contest having been late off.
Due to Tenth Century (GB) having a tendency to become fractious in the preliminaries, he had requested for the gelding to go down to post early, ahead of the rest of the field.
Due to the delay in saddling his horse, in the interest of safety, Blake sent his runner straight to post.
His explanation was noted.
The winner, Magicinthemaking (USA), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Kempton on 2 March 2022 where the mare finished eleventh of twelve runners, beaten by 13 ¼ lengths.
It was noted that the representative of John E.
Long could offer no explanation for the Magicinthemaking (USA)’s improved form.
Following the race, Liam Keniry reported that Ellie Piper (GB), unplaced, ran too freely.
