An enquiry was held to consider why Robert Winston, the rider of Temple of Wonder (IRE), placed seventh, had not weighed in with all of the equipment with which he weighed out.
The rider, Charlie Wallis, and the Clerk of the Scales were interviewed and shown recordings of the unsaddling process.
Being satisfied that Winston had weighed back in within the acceptable parameters, he was suspended for 1 day for failing to weigh in with the net mesh which had been accidentally dropped when removing the saddle.
Following the race, Robert Winston reported that Temple of Wonder (IRE), which finished seventh of seven runners, ran too free.
