Novaportian (IRE) reared and unseated its rider at the start.
Having been checked by the Doctor and the Veterinary Surgeon, both were deemed fit to race.
Approaching 2 furlongs out the winner, Changing Colours (GB), lugged right-handed briefly inconveniencing Captain Winters (GB), placed fourth.
After viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Changing Colours (GB).
On the run to the line Captain Winters (GB), placed fourth, hung right-handed at the same time as Novaportian (IRE), placed third, lugged marginally left-handed, resulting in the rider of Captain Winters (GB) steadying his mount after having become awkwardly placed on the heels of Novaportian (IRE).
After viewing a recording of the incident it was found no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Novaportian (IRE).
