Jumping the first hurdle the rider of Epic Pass (IRE) lost an iron after the colt made a mistake and in attempting to regain it, was unable to get the gelding back onto the racing line in time to jump the second hurdle and subsequently pulled Epic Pass (IRE) up.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Allset (IRE) which was eased down in the home straight to finish last of six finishers, beaten by 70¾ lengths, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
