Permission was given for both Dercol (GB) and Monitola (GB) to go early to post.

The raceday privilege request in relation to Monitola (GB), trained by Stuart Williams, to go early to post was late being submitted.

Williams was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that all raceday privilege requests are submitted by 1pm on the day before racing.

The Starter reported Coast (GB) was the subject of a third criteria failure.

Scott Dixon was informed that the filly could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.

As it was the second occasion within the previous 12 months that Coast (GB) had been reported, a further report within the same period would mean the filly would be prevented from having a stalls test for 6 months.

The winner Dandys Derriere (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newcastle on 9 December 2023 where the gelding finished ninth of twelve runners, beaten 11 ¼ lengths.

Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero’s representative’s explanation that the gelding benefitted from the drop in trip from 7 furlongs to 6 furlongs, whilst the gelding also settled better on this occasion was noted.

Dandys Derriere (GB) was routine tested.

The performance of First Company (IRE) which finished unplaced, was considered.

Mark Loughnane’s explanation that the gelding needs an uncontested lead and was unable to dominate on this occasion, was noted.

Following the race, Josephine Gordon reported that Dercol (GB), unplaced, was denied a clear run repeatedly in the home straight and Dougie Costello reported that Astrophysics (GB), unplaced, was denied a clear run in the home straight.
