Following the race William Buick reported that Island Of Skye (GB), unplaced was slow away.
The performance of Non Stop (FR), which started favourite and finished sixth, was considered.
Joe Tizzard’s representative could offer no further explanation for the gelding’s poor performance and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
The winner Cookies And Creme (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Sandown Park on the 27th of July 2022 where the filly finished seventh of eight, beaten by 15 ½ lengths.
Kevin Philippart De Foy’s representative could offer no explanation other than the filly possibly appreciated its first run on the all-weather.
